Saudi border airport hit by Houthis missiles

(MENAFN) Earlier on Monday, a Saudi civilian airport and a military airbase in southern Saudi Arabia were targeted by two ballistic missiles and four bomb-laden drones fired at dawn by Yemen's Houthi rebels.

Houthi military spokesman Yehya Sarea said in a statement aired by the group's al-Masirah TV that "The attacks hit military targets in the Najran Airport (in Najran city) and the King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait city."

Both Saudi cities are situated near Yemen's northern border.

For its part, Saudi-owned Al-Arabiya TV recited that "the Saudi air defenses intercepted a ballistic missile and three armed drones aimed at Najran," with no more information being provided.
