GENEVA, March 2 (KUNA) -- Switzerland's ministry of health affairs on Tuesday said that 16 patients died from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and 1,130 people tested positive for the disease in the past 24 hours.
The death toll rose to 9,303 and the overall infections to 558,000, the ministry added in a statement.
The number of medical swabs conducted since last February surpassed 4.3 million, according to the statement.
Switzerland's authorities are greatly concerned about the growing mutated cases of the novel coronavirus. (end)
