CAIRO, Mar 1 (KUNA) -- Arab League Secretary-General Ahmad Abul-Gheit condemned on Monday the Houthi militia escalation namely targeting the Saudi capital, Riyadh, last Saturday with a ballistic missile, which Saudi forces succeeded in intercepting and destroying.
The League chief, in a statement, expressed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in any measures taken to defend its territories and population's safety, stressing his confidence in its ability to confront these "terrorist attacks."
He said the Houthis bear responsibility for the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Yemen to the brink of famine.(end )
