Zambia's furniture manufacturer takes opportunities in spite of slump amidst coronavirus


(MENAFN) Josphat Shasulwi is occupied taking opportunities offered by the coronavirus pandemic to improve his furniture business in the time where a lot of people are immersed in talks regarding overcoming hard economic times.

Shasulwi, a furniture manufacturer working at Mandevu Junction market in the Zambian capital Lusaka, has since converted his shop to a mini developed workshop that is providing well-made furniture retailers around Lusaka.

He noted: "because of the COVID-19 pandemic, many renowned furniture retailers are not able to get the required number of goods from outside the country. So I decided to enter into partnerships with these entities, and I'm currently supplying them with a range of products."

The coronavirus pandemic is a masked blessing that has created great opportunities for people and companies that are open to originality and improvement, he added.
