Qatar- Easy approval for events after applying through Metrash2

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: Major Ali Ahmed Al Binali, Head of e-Services Section of the Information Systems Department at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has said that everyone can submit an application for holding an event (for example wedding or condolence) through Metrash2 and the approval is granted immediately after signing the pledge of following precautionary measures.

'After submitting the request, the Ministry of Interior's (MoI) representatives visit the venue of approved event to ensure that the measures recommended by the competent authorities are applied in order to prevent the spread of the virus, he said while speaking to a local channel.

Al Binali also invited people to benefit from Metrash2 services as all its services are safe for use adding that a proposal is being studied to take advantage of artificial intelligence (AI) by providing technical support to Metrash2 users without human intervention in order to develop an automated response to public inquiries regarding any problem of using the digital platform.

Major Al Binali pointed out that last year more than 7 million transactions were completed hrough Metrash2 only, and that the number of users from the service, reached 2 million. Also the number of services available on Metrash2 is 220, all of which were activated and online without the need to visit the Ministry's departments.

'There is a continuous update of Metrash2 services and the electronic services provided by the Ministry of Interior. Currently the app allows companies to renew employee IDs automatically. There is a plan to use the same procedure to renew the passports and driving licenses in the future, he said.

Metrash2 covers all the services which people usually need. Payments can ben made through a debit or credit card or a transfer from companies' accounts to MoI account.
