Qatar- Health official explains visitor restrictions

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Dr Yousef al-Maslamani, medical director of Hamad General Hospital, told Qatar TV that only one visitor will be allowed in a patient's room at a time, that too for no more than 15 minutes, in all hospitals under Hamad Medical Corporation, while strictly implementing all the measures against Covid-19. "In case a relative would like to accompany a patient to the hospital, he should provide a negative PCR test, quarantine for two days and avoid mixing with others outside the hospital.
"However, for COVID-19 patients no visits or accompaniment is allowed. For the time being there are adequate beds including ICU beds for Covid-19 patients and this could be expanded easily in case of need," Dr al-Maslamani added.
