Four people killed in N. Syrian explosion


(MENAFN) According to the pro-government Sham FM radio, an explosion stormed the rebel-held city of Azaz in northern Syria, killing four people and wounding 20 others on Sunday.


The deaths included a child, as reported by the radio channel.

The blast was triggered by a car bomb that exploded near the cultural center in the city of Azaz in the northern countryside of Aleppo province near Turkey, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights

For its part, the UK-based watchdog agency confirmed that rescue teams are doubling efforts to help the injured.

Azaz is held by the Turkey-backed rebels.
