(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The annual Principals' Conference of CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) Gulf Sahodaya will be hosted on a remote platform this year by the Saudi Arabia chapter Saturday and Sunday. CBSE School principals from the Gulf will participate and discuss education during Covid-19 and beyond. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, minister of education, India, will address the inaugural session which will be attended by Manoj Ahuja, chairman, CBSE and Dr Ausaf Sayeed, ambassador of India to Saudi Arabia.
Sessions are planned for principals to interact with Dr Kiran Bedi, lieutenant governor, Puducherry; and CBSE secretary Anurag Thripathi, director academics Dr Joseph Emmanuel, director training Dr Biswajit Saha, controller of examinations Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, and regional officer (Delhi and Foreign Schools) J K Yadav.
CBSE officials will share with principals major reforms planned in curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment. The controller of examinations will discuss the major changes expected during this years' board examinations. There will be sessions by professional trainers on problem solving and stress management.
CBSE Gulf Sahodaya Academic and Sports Awards to students based on their CBSE national level achievements will be announced during the conference. The effective implementation of the new National Educational Policy is likely to be in focus at most sessions during the two days conference.
