China: Growth witnessed in passenger auto sales in December 2020


(MENAFN) The China Passenger Car Association said that Chinese passenger automobile sales carried on expanding during December of last year due to the stable revival of the state's vehicle market and industry.

The association stated in its newest monthly report that retail trade of passenger cars, comprising sedans, sport-utility automobiles, minivans and multipurpose cars, climbed 6.6 percent annually, reaching 2.29 million units during December.

The association said that the overall retail trade of passenger cars stood at 19.29 million units last year, a drop by 6.8 percent annually.

According to the report, the drop contrasted by 1.5 percentage points in comparison with that in the January-November period of 2020, demonstrating a stable revival trend in the sector.
