Online shopping increases in Egypt since February 2020

(MENAFN)Over 72 percent of Egyptians have shopped online more since February last year, before the Coronavirus pandemic, according to a recent economic report from the MasterCard Economics Institute.

This trend to cashless transactions will be more stable in economies such as Egypt, according to the report with the title “Economy 2021”. The institute expected a stable improvement in e-commerce spending at a volume of 20-30 percent of the total spending on sell trade as a result of the pandemic.

These indicators are a significant factor that companies should take into consideration when thinking about increasing their digital transformation, the report further said.
