Jordan annuls Friday lockdowns, permits reopening of schools


(MENAFN) Jordanian government announced that as of this week, Friday lockdowns will be annulled and the reopening of schools will be permitted as of the next semester.

The remarks were shared by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh in a speech at the Lower House, where he stated that all essential measures and procedures would be taken to guarantee the safety and protect the health of everyone.

He noted that the country would also annul home quarantine for every arriving passenger and begin the gradual opening of a number of fields shut over the last few months to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
