Trade between ASEAN, Shanghai stays sturdy amid coronavirus


(MENAFN) Statistics from Shanghai Customs revealed that trade between Shanghai and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) stayed sturdy in 2020 in spite of being involved by the coronavirus pandemic.

Shanghai imported supplies value more than 339.3 billion yuan (about USD51.9 billion) from ASEAN in the first 11 months of 2020, an upsurge of 6.1 percent from the same period in 2019.

In the meantime, products value 433.37 billion yuan were exported from Shanghai to ASEAN, dropped 4.1 percent year on year, partially because of the effect of the pandemic, according to Shanghai Customs.
