45 more people diagnosed with Dengue Fever in Laos


(MENAFN) Lao Ministry of Health announced in a statement that the combined tally of patients who have been diagnosed with Dengue fever in the country has risen to 7,973 after 45 more cases were confirmed over the last 24 hours as of Tuesday.

The statement released Tuesday by the Center of Information and Education for health under Lao Ministry of Health revealed that the Lao capital Vientiane recorded the lion"s share of the national cases with 1851 cases reported.

A number of 922 cases were registered in Bolikhamxay province, whereas Bokeo province and Savannakhet province recorded 710 cases and 740 cases, respectively.

The overall 12 death cases were distributed as following: four in Lao capital Vientiane, two in Bolikhamxay and Khammuan, and one each in Xayaboury, Xieng Khuang, Savannakhet, and Phongsaly.
