Zimbabwe: Economy to increase 7.4 percent

(MENAFN) Zimbabwe's Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube stated on Thursday, November 26, that the southern African country's economy is projected to increase by 7.4 percent in 2021 after an estimated 4.1 percent reduction this year.

Ncube made the prediction while revealing the 2021 national financial plan to parliament in Harare.
"From supply side, this growth will be driven by strong recovery in agriculture, mining, electricity, construction, transport and communication as well as finance and insurance," he stated.

Ncube also declared a raft of measures counting incentive packages for agriculture and manufacturing sectors and tax relief for manufacturers.
