Azerbaijan Holds Draw Among Idps Back To Homeland In Liberated Sus Village (PHOTO)
Personnel from the Special Representative Office of thePresident of Azerbaijan in the Lachin District of the EasternZangazur Economic Region, as well as the district's executive powerand the public council under the Committee for Refugees and IDPs,attended the event.
Newly built private houses in Sus village will be provided to theformer IDPs who have permanent registration in this village andpreviously lived in places of temporary residence.
In total, 59 households participated in the draw. According to thefamily composition, 13 of them will be housed in two-room, 28 inthree-room, 14 in four-room, and four in five-room privatehomes.
The families participating in the draw will go to Sus in theupcoming days.
Following the liberation of its territories from Armenianoccupation in 2020, Azerbaijan initiated the long-awaited 'GreatReturn' program, which envisions the return of IDPs to their nativelands.
Up to date, the former IDPs have returned to Lachin and Fuzulicities, the villages of Talish (Aghdara district), Aghali (Zangilandistrict) and Zabukh (Lachin district).
