DPS-MIS conducts intra-school competition

Doha: DPS-Modern Indian School conducted the ‘Intra-school Arabic and Urdu Handwriting Competition and Holy Quran Recitation Competition' for the students of Class I to VIII aiming  to promote better understanding of vibrant Arabic culture and its inherent religious values.

The competitions, initiated by Department of Arabic, Urdu and Islamic Studies of DPS-MIS, were held online using MS Teams and Zoom platforms.

The competitions saw enthusiastic participation from the students. After the audition round, six to eight students from each class were selected for the final rounds of Holy Quran Recitation Competition. The final rounds consisted  31 shortlisted students from Classes I to IV and 26 students from Classes V to VIII. 

It was a beautiful experience to see and hear the children reciting  Surahs from Qur'an with such respect, enthusiasm and perfection. 

The final events were graced by the Chief judge Siraj Ahmed; Vice-President DPS-MIS Yasir Nainar and Principal Asna Nafees. The best three reciters from each class were awarded with the e-certificates. The Arabic and Urdu Handwriting Competitions were conducted for Classes III to VIII. 

Three best entries from each class were selected for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions and presented with e-certificates.
