Vietnam: rise by 12.4 pct in wood products export

The Vietnam Administration of Forestry said on Thursday that, the country exported more than USD9.6 billion worth of wood and wood products during the January-October period of the current year, in a rise by 12.4 percent annually.
According to the administration, the key customers comprised China, the European Union, Japan, South Korea and the United States for the stated period.
Recording a rise of 11.1 percent annually, the country gained almost USD1.2 billion from exporting wood and wood products only in the month of October.
The forestry administration stated that, the country put more than USD2 billion on importing wood and wood products in the period between January and October, a drop of 3.3 percent annually.
