Trade agreement between India, U.S. improbable in next 4 years

(MENAFN) Despite of India being a vital associate for the United States geopolitically, a joint free trade agreement (FTA) is improbable to be happening soon regardless of who wins the future U.S. presidential election.

That's according to Todd Buchholz, who worked as the manager of economic policy at the White House under President George H.W. Bush.

He stated as quoted by the Economic Times that both U.S. President Donald Trump and his adversary Joe Biden look at India flexibly but have their own coercions not to go on with such a far-reaching arrangement.

Buchholz stated "I find it difficult to imagine that in four years' time, there could be FTA between the US and India".
