Doha: Tunisia's Esperance Sportive de Tunis will take on Egyptian giants Zamalek at a packed Thani Bin Jassim Stadium tomorrow after organisers announced that the tickets for the one-off clash have been sold out.
The match, hosted by Qatar Football Association (QFA), is being staged in Doha for the second year running.
'Tickets for the #CAFSuperCup have sold out! We hope everyone enjoys the game at Thani Bin Jassim Stadium!" a post on QFA's Twitter handle said.
Esperance and Zamalek have already arrived in Doha for the clash. Esperance are coached by Moine Chaabani while Zamalek are managed by Patrice Carteron.
The Cairo-based club were the first to touch down in the Qatari capital on Tuesday afternoon and were met at the airport by officials of the Local Organising Committee (LOC).
The delegation made up of players and officials were escorted to their hotel following their smooth arrival for the important match.
The Esperance delegation arrived in Doha later that day and were given a similar welcome before heading to their hotel, a report on cafonline.com said. The one-off annual match is organised by CAF between the winners of the previous Total CAF Champions League and the Total CAF Confederation Cup.
The game will see Esperance, winners of the 2019 CAF Champions League, facing Zamalek, who are champions of the 2019 CAF Confederation Cup.
Doha's hosting of the Total CAF Super Cup match is the second time in a row following the recent cooperation agreement between Qatar Football Association and CAF.
The CAF Super Cup 2020 will be one of three awaited versions to be hosted by Qatari capital in the coming years. This year's CAF Super Cup will be the 28th edition of the one-off match. Esperance have won the title once (in 1994) while Zamalek are three-time champions (1993, 1997 and 2003).
