1965 -- Kuwait Writers Association is proclaimed.
1978 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah declares designation of Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah as Crown Prince.
1993 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad al-Sabah honors the former United Nations secretary general, Javier de Cuellar, with the State of Kuwait Special Class Order in appreciation for his efforts during the blatant Iraqi aggression on the country.
2002 - Four people perish in a blast at the northern Al-Rawdatain crude field due to a major leakage. The explosion has also injured 19 others and has inflicted losses estimated at USD 150 million.
2018 -- The National Assembly (Parliament) renews confidence in the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and Minister of State for Economic Affairs, Hind Al-Sebeeh, rejecting a motion in this respect by 10 MPs who have accused her of financial and administrative irregularities.
2019 -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) announces an accord with Togo, according to which the fund lends it KD seven million for co-funding a water project.

2008 -- The Kuwaiti theatrical actor Khalil Ismail passes away at 61 years of age.
