China shares posted increases on Monday, the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index posted a rise of 0.66 percent to set at 3,095.79 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index registered an increase of 1.47 percent to set at 11,115.88 points.
The joint turnover of shares on the two indices came in at USD98.9 billion, rising from USD88.47 billion in the earlier day.
Gainers outnumbered losers by 1,500 to 614 in Shenzhen bourse and 958 to 456 on the Shanghai bourse.
