US-Bangla adds fifth ATR 72-600 to its fleet


(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) Dhaka: Private airline US-Bangla airlines added another 72-seater brand new ATR 72-600 aircraft on January 17 raising its fleet number to twelve, a record number for a private airline in the country.
The aircraft flew straight from the factory in France and landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 3:25pm on January 17.
US-Bangla plans to increase flight frequencies in domestic routes with the new aircraft.
Monirul Haque Joarder, Director Operations, Musa Mullah, Director Administration and other high officials of US-Bangla Airlines were present at the airport to receive the new aircraft.
Currently, US-Bangla operates ten daily flights to Chattogram, six to Cox's Bazar, five to Jashore, four to Saidpur, two to Sylhet and Rajshahi, and one to Barishal from Dhaka in domestic routes.
In international routes, the airline operates flights to Kolkata, Chennai, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Guangzhou, Muscat and Doha.
US-Bangla is planning to add one more brand new ATR 72-600 aircraft to its fleet by this month and four more by June this year.
