Qatar- Katara to host general assembly of Global Public Diplomatic Network from January 20


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Cultural Village Foundation - Katara announced yesterday that it will host the 6th general assembly of the Global Public Diplomatic Network which is to be chaired by the State of Qatar and represented by Katara. The assembly will be held from January 20 to 22. It is expected that the meeting will witness wide international participation.
A press conference is scheduled to be held in Katara on Thursday, January 16th, to announce the activities of the sixth general assembly meeting.
 The press conference will be attended by Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, General Manager of the Cultural Village Katara, President of the International Public Diplomatic Network, Eng. Darwish Ahmed Al-Shaibani, Secretary-General of the Network, and Dr. Khaled Aba Al-Zemat, Assistant Secretary-General of the Network.   
In 2017, Qatar became a member of the Global Public Diplomacy Network and received its presidency from Turkey on May 4, 2019 at a ceremony in Istanbul. The Global Public Diplomacy Network was founded by public and cultural institutions of nine countries (Philippines, Sweden, Korea, Taiwan, Nigeria, Poland, Portugal, Singapore and Turkey) in Seoul, South Korea, in 2014.
