Jordan- ACC issues 37,369 certificates of origin in 2019


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Jan. 12 (Petra) -- The Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) issued 37,369 certificates of origin for exported goods to Arab and foreign countries in 2019, compared with 41,125 in 2018, marking a drop of 9 percent.
The drop in the number of issued certificates during the past year was accompanied by a 1 percent decrease in the value of exports, recording about JD998 million, compared to JD1.003 billion in 2018.
According to statistics, certificates of origin were issued to different countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Egypt and Lebanon.
Exports to Iraq amounted to JD249 million, while to the UAE were at JD163 million, Lebanon at JD84 million, Saudi Arabia at JD79 million and Egypt at JD60 million.
Exports of foreign products "re-export" amounted to JD550 million, followed by agricultural products at JD150 million, industrial products at JD103 million, and Arab products at JD68 million.
