Action program signed by Morocco, IEA for period of 2020-2021


(MENAFN) According to official news agency MAP, on Friday in Paris, Morocco and the International Energy Agency (IEA) signed an action program for the period 2020-2021.


As said in the report, the program plans to increasing bilateral collaboration in the fields of energy security, renewable energies, energy efficiency, capacity building, and data and statistics.


It also plans to provide the specific requirements of the North African country, which become an associate of the IEA in November 2016, in terms of change to a low-carbon economy.


IEA's cooperation with Morocco began in 2007, mainly in the areas of energy policy, statistics and research and development, according to the IEA.
