(MENAFN) As many as seven persons were murdered and one other was wounded as a result of a traffic accident that took place along a busy highway in Osun state, southwest Nigeria, the road safety body stated on Saturday.
The accident occurred between an articulated vehicle and a Space Wagon carrying eight passengers along the Osogbo-Ikirun road, Peter Oke, sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in Osun affirmed.
He informed reporters in Osogbo, the state capital, "Five male and two female, who are traveling in a Mistubishi (Space Wagon) lost their lives, while a female survived with injuries".
He emphasized that all the victims and the only survivor were rushed to a local hospital.
