A training workshop titled, 'Creativity and Innovation in GCC Social Work: Reality and Expectations' began at the Crowne Plaza Resort in Salalah on Monday.
The three-day workshop is being organised by the Executive Bureau of the Council of Ministers of Labour and Social Affairs in GCC States. The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of H E Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan al Busaidi, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar.
The workshop includes training sessions in the fields of social work in the GCC countries, including innovation, creativity, challenges and the mechanism of financing social services, in addition to community initiatives, social media and innovative work behaviour.
A number of experts and specialists in the field of social work are also attending the workshop.
