Oman- Upcoming resort in Salalah to create 360 job opportunities

Considered an important addition to the tourism sector of the sultanate in general and Dhofar governorate in particular, the under construction Al Alila Hino Resort in Mirbat is expected to be completed by the first quarter next year.

The project will create around 360 employment opportunities especially for Omanis, said Abdul Salam bin Mohammad al Murshidi, chief executive officer of the State General Reserve Fund (SGRF), while reviewing the progress of the project recently during a site visit. Al Alila Hino Resort of Mirbat will have 112 hotel units of different types.

Murshidi was briefed about the various phases of the work by the chairman of the board of directors of Alil Salalah company, the developer of the project. The briefing included aspects of construction, its facilities and components, materials used for construction and requirements of raw materials and their quality.

He was also informed about the design of the resort which has been done keeping in mind both tradition and modernity.

The design has also been done keeping the environmental parameter in mind. Murshidi lauded the progress of the project and said it would be a qualitative leap in the sultanate's tourism sector in general and Dhofar in particular.

The project includes a five-star hotel, a number of luxury villas as well as a range of recreational facilities to ensure a wonderful experience for guests. It will also have a number of restaurants, swimming pools and a heritage village, a handicraft market and facilities for children.

The project is owned and developed by Alil Salalah company of the Oman Development and Investment Fund.
