Egypt to host summits aim to discuss crises in Sudan, Libya


(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Egypt will host two consultative summits to confer latest developments in Sudan and Libya, according to a statement from the president's office.

The summit on Sudan will confer means of supporting peace and stability in the nation and issues linked to boosting joint action, stated the statement, without explaining.

Among those expected to join are Chad's President Idriss Deby, Djibouti President Ismail Omar Guelleh, Rwandan President Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso, Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and African Union Commission Chairperson Moussa Faki Mahamat along with high-ranking officials and representatives from Ethiopia, South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya and Nigeria.

The summit on Libya will concentrate on halting the present crisis and reviving the political process in addition to the combat against terrorism in the nation.
