Turkey issues 50 detention warrants for FETO suspects


(MENAFN) On Monday, detention warrants were released for 0 soldiers, including still on active duty, across the country for suspected connections with FETO, the terror group behind the defeated 2016 coup, judicial sources stated.

Prosecutors in the capital Ankara released the warrants for the suspects across Turkey as part of investigations into the Fetullah Terrorists Organization's secret network within the military, according to sources who asked not to be identified due to restrictions on talking to the media.

35 out of 50 suspects were active serving soldiers, the sources affirmed.

Police launched concurrent raids across 24 provinces to detain the suspects.
