Egypt's economy sees promising horizons

(MENAFN) Egypt is expected to see a significant rebound and major developments in its economy within its reform program, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) showed in a report.

"The outlook remains favorable, provided policies agreed under the program are implemented," the IMF assured in its fourth assessment of the Egyptian economy.

"Growth is expected to strengthen further to about 6 percent over the medium term, assuming sustained implementation of reforms," it noted.

It comes after Egypt commenced a three-year economic reform program starting 2016, liberalizing the foreign currency exchange rate to restrain a lack in the U.S. dollar.
