Deputy Chief Constable of UK's Cumbria Constabulary visits Smart Police Station in Dubai

DUBAI, 4th April, 2019 (WAM) -- The Deputy Chief Constable of Cumbria Constabulary, UK, Mark Webster, has visited the Smart Police Station (SPS) in La Mer area at Jumeirah.

Upon his arrival, Mark Webster was received by Col. Mansour Nasser Al-Razzouqi, Director of the Virtual Technology Centre of the Artificial Intelligence Department at Dubai Police, in presence of a number of Dubai Police senior officers.

Webster was given a brief about police services provided to clients without human intervention, which come in line with the vision of the wise leaders to make Dubai one of the smartest cities in the world.

During the visit, Webster took a tour around the automated police station and its services, which operated without human interference 24 hours and seven days a week. SPS offers 27 key services, such as reporting crimes and traffic incidents, as well as a further 33 community-based services, which range from obtaining a good-conduct certificate to social support for victims of family violence.

At the end of the visit, Deputy Chief Constable of Cumbria commended smart services that serve both individuals and community.
