Brazilian club blaze injures 2 teenagers


(MENAFN) Two teenage footballers have been admitted at a hospital after suffocating from smoke from a fire at a training ground deployed by Brazilian club Bangu on Monday.

Mattheus Rocha and Diego Casco, both 18, have received medical care at the Aeronautica hospital in Rio de Janeiro after sleeping quarters of the CDA military complex was engulfed with fire, according to Bangu.

The club confirmed that Casco was released from hospital on Monday night while Rocha remained at the hospital for precautionary procedures.

It added that "[We] inform that the players are not at risk," meanwhile, probes into the reason behind the incident was probed.
