Qatar Team celebrate winning AFC Asian Cup with Omani fans

Abu Dhabi:The Qatar national team, who won the 2019 AFC Asian Cup Title for the first time in Qatar's history, celebrated along with the fans from Oman after they claimed the new continental Cup at the Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Immediately after the crowning, the Qatari players went to the Omani fans and they raised the flags of the Sultanate and those of Qatar, a matter that was highlighted by social media networks and platforms and was widely admired.

The gesture is a tribute to the Omani fans, who supported the Qatari team during the AFC championship, especially in the qualifying matches and even in the final match.

Qatar football team claimed the title of the AFC Asian Cup after beating Japan 3-0 in the final on Friday, the team's stars also received all individual awards.

Almoez Ali, the Qatar national team player, appreciated the great role of Omani fans as there were no Qatari fans attending the tournament, adding that the 'Omanis supported us and we have the right to celebrate with them after the crowning, and we sincerely thank them for their support.

The fans carried a big flag of Qatar, in addition to the small hand-held flags, as well as the flags of many Arab countries such as Oman, Algeria and Lebanon. The large number of fans who supported the Qatari team were wearing the logo of Al Annabi with the background of the names of various players. Apart from their attendance, they carried flags in the stadium and continued to cheer for Al Annabi players and sing songs throughout the game.
