(MENAFN) Israel recorded a 56 percent jump in its foreign investments by the end of last year, standing at USD3.66 billion.

Such a record-breaking figure was driven by offset contracts Israel has witnessed last year, Calcalist reported.

Around 1,065 firms in Israel have taken advantage of the offset agreements, 243 companies higher than the previous year.

According to the report, the volume of benefitted factories in national priority areas in northern and southern Israel accounted for an 80 percent surge.
