Jordan- Cold weather forecast as Kingdom remains under impact of cold front

Amman, Jan. 17 (Petra)--Cold and partly cloudy weather with scattered rain is expected on Thursday as the Kingdom remains under the effect of the cold front, according to Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

Light snow is also expected on hilly areas while winds will be north westerly moderate to brisk raising dust in the desert areas, the JMD added.

The weather will stabilize in the evening but it will remain very cold and partly cloudy with westerly moderate winds. Frost formation is a also expected in many areas except for the Jordan Valley, Aqaba and the Dead Sea.

Temperatures will slightly rise on Friday and Saturday, but the weather will be cold and partly cloudy with north westerly moderate winds.

Temperatures in Amman for today will range between a high of 7 degrees Celsius and a low of 1 degree, while daytime temperatures in Aqaba will register a high of 17 degrees dropping down to 10 degrees at night.
