Abhishek to star in Season 2 of Amazon Prime's 'Breathe'

Amazon Prime is picking up the pace with its Indian content and to that extent, the second season of Breathe is already in production. It will be arriving on the streaming platform soon.

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, son of the legendary star Amitabh Bachchan, will be the star of Season 2 of the popular show.

Breathe directed by Mayank Sharma, first appeared in January and starred R. Madhavan and Amit Sadh in the roles of a desperate father with a sick son, and a cop with questionable methods, respectively.

It was co-written by Sharma and Vikram Tuli, Bhavani Iyer and Arshad Syed.

Produced by Abundantia Entertainment, it is Amazon's second original Indian show after Inside Edge, the cricket drama.

Without revealing the plot, Abhishek expressed his excitement to enter the world of digital content with Breathe, asserting that "creatively, the material must excite me as much or more."

He loved Breathe's storyline, Abhishek said, adding he was impressed by the nuanced and detailed approach to his character that the show could take, since shows on streaming platforms have more time than films.
