Pakistan- Pindi police declare Maulana Sami's assassination a blind murder


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi police on Tuesday declared assassination of Maulana Samiul Haq a blind murder after failing to find any clue to reach his murderer.

According to media reports, station house officer of Airport police station appeared before additional and session judge and submitted an interim charge sheet, saying that no one has been nominated in the case.

In the charge sheet, the police claimed that 13 persons' DNA and poly-graphic tests were conducted but could not prove anything.

It said that investigation was underway and teams have already been constituted. 'Legal requirements were not fulfilled as son of the deceased refused to allow Maulana Sami's postmortem and declared it against Shariah law,' it added.

The police also submitted an application seeking exhumation of deceased's body but given up the idea keeping in view resistance from his students and family members.

Maulana Sami was stabbed to death at his residence in Rawalpindi on November 2.
