Qatar- HBKU board member wins education innovation award


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Dr Ikhlaq Sidhu, a member of the board of trustees at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), received the 2018 Major Education Innovation Award for his role in driving innovation in education from IEEE - the world's largest and most reputable association for engineering, computing, and technology professionals.
The award was granted to him for his role as a faculty director and a chief scientist at Berkeley's Sutardja Centre for Entrepreneurship and Technology at the University of California. The award recognises contributions in educational entrepreneurship and the championing of innovative teaching
methods.
In his role as a member of the Board of Trustees at HBKU, Dr Sidhu advocates educational advancement, and supports the University's commitment to promoting a fully integrated and multidisciplinary
learning environment.
