Kuwait Awqaf Min. discuss cooperation with Tunisian officials


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TUNIS, Nov 10 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Fahad Al-Afasi said Saturday he would be meeting with Tunisian officials to discuss cooperation in Islamic Affairs, endowment and Zakat (alms).
Al-Afasi make the remarks in a statement shortly after arrival in Tunis for an official visit for talks with Tunisian Minister of Religious Affairs Ahmad Adhoum and senior officials.
He said the two ministries would sign an implementation program affiliated to a cooperation agreement with the objective of spreading the culture of tolerance and the moderate image of Islam.
Al-Afasi said he would be visiting a number of Islamic institutions in Tunisia.
He said the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs sought to sign similar protocols with Arab and Islamic countries with the aim of developing Muslim communities. (end) ksj.bs
