(MENAFN) Algeria was announced to be joining hands with Lebanon as they make efforts to boost their ties in all areas.
The statement was made by Algeria's Ambassador to Lebanon Ahmed Bouziane at a celebration of the Algerian National Day.
The Algerian envoy was cited by the National News Agency as saying: "the two countries enjoy a very fruitful relation but we are working hard on strengthening our ties in a way that would be a model to be followed by other countries."
The envoy added that the two countries' efforts are shown in their establishment of a Lebanese Algerian council for businessmen, as well as the formation of a joint parliament committee.
