Iraq arrest one planner of Qayyarah explosion


(MENAFN) According to an Iraqi police officer on Sunday, Iraqi forces detained the mastermind of a suicide explosion that murdered six people in northern Iraq last week.

A vehicle bomb burst at a market in the town of al-Qayyarah, approximately 60 kilometers south of Mosul, on Tuesday, murder six people and wounding dozens.

Police forces detained Ibrahim Hussein, an Iraqi national, who admitted of having role in organizing the attack, Ayoub Anwar, the police chief of the northern town of Dibka, told Anadolu Agency.

He said the suspect was arrested inside the Dibka refugee camp in the northern city of Sharqat.

Anwar emphasized, Iraqi authorities have launched a manhunt for other planners of the ambush.
