Joint Statement on Human Rights Council's Failure to Adopt Draft Resolution Consensus on Yemen

Geneva, Muharram 18, 1440, Sep 28, 2018, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, The Republic of Yemen, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt have issued the following statement in which they affirmed that the Human Rights Council failed to achieve consensus for a draft
resolution on the situation in Yemen in light of the non-cooperation of the Netherlands, Belgium, Canada, Luxembourg and Ireland and their stubbornness on not taking into consideration the real and legitimate concerns of the concerned States and their clear observations on the report of the International and Regional Group of Experts presented to the 39th session of the Human Rights Council (HRC), which concluded today in Geneva as well as the report's irregularities, errors and omissions in addition to descriptions contained within the report that clearly contradict the Security Council resolutions on Yemen.
