Adel Ezzat unanimously elected as first President of the South West Asian Football Federation

Jeddah, Dhu-AlHijjah 01, 1439, August 12, 2018, SPA -- The General Assembly of the South West Asian Football Federation unanimously elected Adel Ezzat, the President of the Saudi Football Federation as first President of the South West Asian Football Federation.
The general assembly also elected Mohammed Shawid, President of The Maldives Football Federation, as first deputy president; Sabrata Dota of India as deputy president for South Asian zone; Abdullah Al-Jinaibi of the UAE as deputy president for west Asia.
The meeting also endorsed the election of the members of the executive committee including Mahfouza Akhtar of Bangladesh; Karma Chering Sherba of Nepal; Anora De Silva of Sri Lanka; Shaikh Ali Al Khalifa of Bahrain and Fahd Al-Hamlan of Kuwait.
Addressing the meeting, Ezzat recalled that Turki bin Abdulmohsen Al Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the Board of the General Commission for Sports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has earlier launched the initiative to establish this federation, emanating from the dedication of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince, to the message of sports in general and football in particular as a catalyst of unifying people of the region and the world at large.
