Lebanon's PM demands setting up national consensus gov't

(MENAFN) Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri was unveiled to have demanded "the formation of a government of national consensus".

The statement has been made by Future Movement's Secretary-General Ahmad al-Hariri while speaking in a radio interview.

The official suggested that "this means that there is no room for a majority-based government; the national consensus entails the participation of the parliament's main political components in the next cabinet."

Speaker Nabih Berri is also still holding discussions with various political parties, aiming to find a solution on the deadlock obstructing the establishment of the government.
