Trade turnover between Ukraine and Estonia increased by almost a third over past year Poroshenko


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Economic cooperation between Ukraine and Estonia is developing rapidly. A trade turnover between two countries grew by almost 30% for the last year.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this during a joint briefing with President of the Republic of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid.

"Ukraine considers Estonia not only as a reliable strategic political and security partner. Our cooperation in the economic sector is also very important. I want to emphasize that over the last year the growth of trade turnover between our countries amounts to almost 30%. This is a very good thermometer of economic relations between our countries," Poroshenko said.

He also said that the presidents noted a dynamic development of economic cooperation between Ukraine and Estonia.

"We agreed that prior to the meeting of the commission on trade and economic cooperation, we will instruct the Governments to consider any obstacles to cooperation, eliminate all the barriers and find the best way to resolve the problems of investors in Ukraine in the field of a reliable legislative environment," Poroshenko stressed.

In addition, the president noted the decisive actions of Estonia in the humanitarian component of overcoming the consequences of Russian aggression.

"The total amount that Estonia provided in the material and technical and humanitarian sectors has exceeded 10 million euros," the president said.

As Ukrinform reported, President of the Estonian Republic Kersti Kaljulaid is on an official visit to Ukraine.
