Saudi- Attempt to Smuggle SR1 million abroad, Foiled, Illicit Traders, in Furniture, Arrested -Ministry of Commerce Announced

Riyadh, Ramadan 6, 1439, May 21, 2018, SPA -- A foiled attempt for trafficking about SR1 million abroad, has culminated in publicly promulgating a Saudi national and an expatriate of Asian nationality, as violators of Saudi commercial laws, after a court judgment has been issued by the Criminal Court, in Riyadh, against them.
The court has proven their involvement, in violating the commercial concealment system, as the citizen enabled the expatriate to do business, in furniture trade, in an illegal way, as the laws prohibited such an act.
The sentence included a fine of SR 200,000 and imprisonment for two months for the expatriate, finally to be expelled from the country and not be allowed to return to work.
On the other hand, the conviction also resulted in the closure of the establishment, liquidation of the activity, cancellation of the trade register and prohibition of doing business, as aggregate fines, on the national.
