(MENAFN) Over six Maoist rebels have been shot dead in clashes government soldiers, raising the fatality number of rebels to 22 in the last three days.
A policeman in Maharashtra state's Gadchiroli area, Prashant Diwate declared that the incident occurred on early Tuesday morning
All of the 16 deaths were from the same region.
Diwate added that police and paramilitary troopers have been searching the area for the past few days.
