World Bank estimates Iraq damage


(MENAFN) The total damage to the structure of Iraq during the war against the Islamic State group (IS/ISIS) is estimated at USD45.7 billion.

In details, the destruction of the residential sector is estimated at USD16 billion, power plants and power networks-USD7 billion, schools and universities-USD2.4 billion, experts said the World Bank and the Iraqi authorities.

Estimates of losses are presumed after comparing the country's infrastructure to January 2014 and December 2017, reports The Wall Street Journal.
