Senator Kennedy declares his hopes for judicial candidate Petersen to be withdrawn

(MENAFN) Sen. John Kennedy expressed his wishes for the White House to remove one of its judicial candidates following a hearing this week when the Louisiana Republican interrogated him.

On "OutFront" of CNN, Senator Kennedy declared "I'm hoping that the White House will pull down Mr. Petersen."

During a hearing which took place Wednesday, the commissioner on the Federal Election Commission Matthew Spencer Petersen has been viewed on footage where he had trouble replying to a series of questions from Kennedy.

The senator added "I don't want to - I mean, I don't want to see him suffer, he's a nice guy, but you can't just walk into a federal courthouse for the very first time and say, 'Here I am, I think I want to be a judge.' It just doesn't work that way."
